Tips for Equine
Sessions:
- Clean horses photograph best! Think show ready. Bathe them the night before or early in the morning. They need to be 100% dry. Also if you clip your horses, please do not clip less than one week before our session.
- I love the natural look of a horses mane and tail when photographing, but if you are a competitive rider and want to either braid or band your horses mane that is perfectly fine with me!
- Keep the horses in their daily routines as much as possible. If it's feeding time when we're about to get started then go ahead and feed them. They will be much happier on a full belly.
- Black or brown leather halters or bridles with matching lead ropes/reins photograph best. Show halters/bridles also work great. Please make sure tack is clean.
- If someone could be there to act as an assistant to help get ears up it is always very helpful. I do have a few tricks I can use on my own if we can't find anyone, but a friend or family member to help out is great!
- Some horses may seem like they are not cooperating and that can feel stressful in the moment. Please remember to be patient! Your horse may just be a little excited about what we're asking them to do. I promise though, if we stay calm and be patient we will always get "the shot" we are looking for!
Tips for Pet Sessions:
- Getting your pet groomed is important so they will look their best for the photos. I recommend that you have your pet groomed prior to the session date. Scheduling to many appointments in one day can cause them to get stressed out and we want them to be relaxed and happy for their photos.
- I recommend bringing plenty of treats to the session to reward your pet when they listen to commands and show off their tricks. This will help to motivate them to cooperate during the session.
- If they have a cute little bow tie or a bow that you just love, a cute vest, sweater or cute little shoes for their paws, feel free to bring any accessories that you would like to incorporate into the photos.
- Your pet is not required to know any tricks for the session but if they do know any tricks and they are willing to show them off at the session that would be excellent. Some pets definitely love showing off their tricks and this is a great way to let their pet personality really shine.

What types of products do you sell?
I sell prints, framed wall art, museum quality canvases, handcrafted wooden folio boxes with glass viewing window, and custom designed albums.
What should I wear?
I suggest warm earthy colors, clean well-fitting outfits, layers or textures look great in images, and don't forget the accessories! Most importantly make sure you wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident!
I recommend against big logos, bright/luminous colors, busy patterns, anything too distracting or dirty.
Do you travel?
I'm happy to travel to your location! Let's chat about your dream photoshoot! Destination shoots are for any session outside a 100 mile radius of my hometown (Kempton, PA). Travel fees may include the cost of gas, hotel stays, airfare, and/or rental car. Session fee starts at $1750 for destination sessions.
What if we need to raincheck or cancel?
Life happens, I get that! And some things are just out of our control. (like the weather!) I am happy to reschedule if needed.
If you need to cancel, I will refund your session fee 100% if you give me at least 3 days notice. If notice is given after 3 days (72 hours prior to session start time) You will receive a refund in the amount of your session minus $75. This ($75) will be considered a cancellation fee.
